DAP 2025: Social Impact and Education That Transforms Communities
At Propella, we believe that business growth only reaches its full value when it creates a positive and lasting impact on its community. From the very beginning, we made a clear decision: social responsibility would not be a marketing message, but a consistent and meaningful practice. This conviction gave rise to DAP – Propella Annual Donation, an annual initiative led by the Propella Foundation that supports educational institutions with limited resources and contributes to social development through education.
DAP represents Propella’s long-term commitment to Costa Rica. Each year, the initiative channels time, effort, and resources into projects that create tangible improvements in learning environments and strengthen the communities they serve.
The Mission of the Propella Foundation
The Propella Foundation was created to transform organizational values into concrete action. Rather than focusing on one-time donations, the Foundation works with a strategic social responsibility approach, identifying specific needs and designing interventions that generate sustainable educational and community impact.
We firmly believe that investing in education is one of the most effective ways to create long-term development. For that reason, our initiatives aim not only to improve infrastructure, but also to build meaningful relationships with the communities we support.
DAP 2025: Strengthening Educational Spaces in Alajuela
In 2025, the DAP initiative took place at Escuela Invu Las Cañas, located in Alajuela. Following a site visit and coordination process with the school’s administration, a clear priority was identified: improving preschool learning spaces to create a more welcoming and functional environment for young students.
The activity was carried out on December 9, 2025, with the direct participation of the Propella team. During the day, two preschool classrooms were fully painted, contributing to a cleaner, brighter, and more stimulating learning environment. Additionally, extra materials were provided so the school’s maintenance staff can complete a third classroom during the holiday break.
Quality learning spaces play a critical role in student motivation, well-being, and early educational development.
Beyond Infrastructure: Building Community Connections
One of the most meaningful aspects of DAP 2025 was the interaction with students. With the support of teachers, recreational activities were organized for two large groups of children, creating moments of joy, connection, and shared experiences.
Each student received a gift basket, delivered individually and with personal attention. The initiative also extended support to families whose children were unable to attend that day, reinforcing Propella’s commitment to inclusion and community care.
These moments highlight that true social impact goes beyond physical improvements and is built through genuine human connection.
A Team United by Purpose
The Propella team’s involvement was essential to the success of the initiative. Their collaborative spirit, enthusiasm, and alignment with the project’s purpose demonstrated that when social impact is authentic, commitment comes naturally.
The full-day effort reflected Propella’s belief that social responsibility is not an extra task, but an integral part of its organizational culture.
